Ontario E-Learning Scholars is a virtual school fueled by the strength of our students, instructors and online nature that creates endless opportunities. Each student has a personal, customized path that is specifically built for their goals, skill level and pace. We’re incredibly proud of our e-learning programs and courses which promote student engagement and academic curiosity. We utilize Knowledge Building principles to stimulate metacognitive processes and deep understanding of curriculum concepts. Our virtual classrooms overcome classroom and geographical barriers. We offer a wide variety of Ontario high school credit courses and tutoring for students in grades 7 to 12. Our Mission
Our mission is to provide students with a safe and supportive learning environment in the comfort of their home using technology providing real-time instruction with our certified teachers. Our goal is to ensure that each and every student is provided the opportunity to achieve success in our virtual classrooms. We provide differentiated instruction through culturally relevant pedagogy that meets the needs of diverse learners. We endeavour to help our students to become effective problem solvers and communicate their ideas as they strive to become life long learners.
Our Vision
At Ontario E-Learning Scholars, we are dedicated to providing students with the best possible e-learning experience. Our programs provide students with access to quality instruction and tutoring while allowing them to earn high school course credits from the comfort of their own homes. We believe that learning should be engaging and interactive, and we strive to provide our students with a supportive and accommodating learning environment.
Our Strategies
Our teachers use virtual platforms such as Google Classroom and Knowledge Forum to stimulate student learning. Virtual and internet based tools are incorporated in the teaching process to enhance learning. Knowledge Building principles further engage students in metacognitive activities and promote the deeper understanding of content material. We use a wide array of assessment strategies to report on student achievement (Growing Success, 2010).
